AUSTIN, TX — Tonight, it’s the 20th Anniversary of the “Hey Loretta! Hillbilly Hoedown & Pie Social!” This annual hi-tone hillbilly barn dance, musical soiree tribute and tasty finger lickin’ pie auction at The Continental Club, will undoubtedly pack the legendary juke joint like tsunami sardines!  The aforementioned culinary treats are personally baked by some of the areas' best country songbirds!

Some of tonight’s performers:  Kelly Willis, Marcia Ball, Rosie Flores, Amber Digby, Brennen Leigh & Noel McKay, Teri Joyce, Shelley King, Whitney Rose, Susanna Van Tassel, Janet Lynn, Bill Kirchen, Lisa Pankratz, Andrea Magee, and many many others...

The evening’s host/emcee and pie auctioneer is Mr Ameripolitan, Dale “the real deal” Watson!  From the treasured Loretta Lynn songbook, each performer pays homage to Miss Loretta with heartfelt performances and home baked (or store bought) pies for the evenings’ auction benefiting a designated charity.

In American country music, there’s only a handful of one-named, whiskey-chasin’ honky-tonk icons that’s synonymous with the psychotic genre itself.

From Patsy to Tammy, Emmylou to Dolly, Hank to Merle, Lefty to Willie & Waylon, ...unequivocally there’s only one LORETTA ... a.k.a. the Coal Miner’s Daughter!
